I am an accomplished and experienced public speaker, having delivered presentations to audiences which range from just a few people to 150 + people – both in and outside New Zealand. I enjoy imparting my knowledge through public speaking, particularly where the material is based on my books.
I bring Real World understanding to what it takes to survive and thrive in business, having “walked the talk” for over 20 years across a diverse range of industries fulfilling senior management positions.
Various Rotary groups have engaged me to date to speak with members. I like to leave the choice of presentation subject/ topic to the speaking engagement organiser/ representative of the audience; yet I am equally happy to choose a pertinent topic on behalf of the relevant audience if that is the wish of the audience representative.

I am equally happy presenting to large groups, as I am facilitating small group discussions/ workshops. If I use an electronic presentation file in support of my delivery, I am happy to upload the file into my LinkedIn profile for stakeholders to refer to as often as they wish.
I’m also happy to provide the same presentation file to the leader of the audience that I have presented to, for them to post the file in their organisation’s intranet or similar file storage environment. In all cases, all intellectual property rights relating to all such presentation files belong exclusively to Real World Consulting Limited at all times.
Where public speaking is concerned, I operate with the same fee structure that applies to my consulting services, which ensures that my public speaking services are affordable for any scale of business. That is, I set fees based on discovering what the scale (and complexity) of the given client business is – and therefore the given business’s affordability when it comes to engaging an external consultant.
Minimum Services Fee Rate = $50.00 + GST per hour; and reflects (applies to) a business operation that is generating sales turnover/ revenue in the range $10,000 to $50,000 incl. GST per annum.
Maximum Services Fee Rate = $120.00 + GST per hour; and reflects (applies to) a business operation that is generating sales turnover/ revenue in the range $1,000,000 incl. GST or greater per annum.
Mid-Range Services Fee Rate = $85.00 + GST per hour; and reflects (applies to) a business operation that is generating sales turnover/ revenue in the range of $50,000.01 to $999,999.99 incl. GST per annum.
The above Service Fee Rates apply to both the time used to prepare presentation files/ content and to deliver the given presentation. Nil (zero) Service Fees are charged in relation to the time required to travel to/ from the speaking venue.
Disbursements such as travel costs, accommodation costs and the cost of meals that must necessarily be incurred in order to deliver the given public speaking engagement are always invoiced at cost. Detailed accurate time in attendance records are maintained, which serve as the basis for client invoicing. These are available for clients to inspect at any time.
